Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and became a part of Adidas a contract as professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her races.
