Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and signed with Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of every event.
